Digital Ink And Painting Week 10: Progress!

I decided to make a new design but still keep the old idea of my design. This is step by step of how I make it.

First I sketch my idea.

Then I started to color the background a bit to get a clearer vision.

I started inking some of the important elements.

Now that I get clearer vision, I put lineart on the buildings to make it easier to color.

Almost finished..

                                                                       Finished.

However, Miss Sheila told me that I should get rid of the outline, so I will do it next week.

FF223 (Digital Ink and Painting) Week 9- Week of rejection.

The finals is coming for you and me, there's no denying it. Sem 3 feel so fast I can't even catch up with current situation and I almost drowned. And we already have to make final project?? Like whaaaa

Ok so this week we have to make a concept for steampunk-world.

My ideas.

My sketch.

Once I showed it to Miss Sheila, she said that it's flat and doesn't have much perspective going on and I agree. However that doesn't stop me to become better and better and i'll berlatih sampai i berjaya.

Yes i sasul malay when I feel energize.

FFA223- Perspective.

In my perspective, this might be the most enjoyable task i've been given yet.

One point perspective.
 two-point perspective,

This week we got to do some perspective exercise in Miss Sheila's class. It's definitely exciting because every artist needs to know basic of perspective in order to NOT make their drawing look as flat as pop artist's singer nowadays.

Here are some that Miss Sheila assigned us to do:

And here are some extra that I did in class but couldn't get the full picture of it so it's kinda stucked halfway

Overall, this has been an interesting and useful exercise for those who really want to make their painting with depth.

Digital Ink and painting week 7: Plotting light and shadows.

Another week, another assignment. One word : Redha.

Plus that's what we do as a student. I'm so excited to learn something new every week and this week we're back to photoshop and Miss Sheila taught us on how to put shadows and highlight on bland picture and turn it into something amayyziinnggg

Raw picture.

1) At first I multiply and color shadow everything i need to.

2) Secondly, I put the light on by setting it into overlay.

3) Not enought light..So I put some more.

4) After I put all of the lights, I put grass texture as the floor to make it seems more..whimsical .

Tuh-duh..i mean, i could've done better.

BUT WAIT. It doesn't just end there. I have to do another one more!

Raw picture.

1) Like usual, I put the shadows first on where they belong.

2) Add some light from the window.

3) Like, more light.

4) THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH LIGHTS

5) After feeling that the light is enough, I stopped.

6) I added blocks as wall texture.

Final result. I'm liking this way more than before.

As conclusion, as an animation student I have to know proper lighting in order to give more "umph" in paintings.
